The indie game community means everything to me. Which is why I get so pissed when big game companies sue over patent infringement! Patents on game mechanics shouldn't even be allowed. It isn't allowed on other games, like card games. You can copywrite the images on the cards, but not the rules of the game. It's not like you can get a patent on the game Poker, and then sue LocalThunk over it! So why do big game companies do it anyway? I call it Spooky Legal Action At A Distance. We are entangled with the big game companies whether we like it or not.
